Procedures of Publication and Production Schedule for Fine Lines

Fine Lines is published in print format on a quarterly basis in April, July, October, and January. The Publisher and Founding Editor of this journal is David Martin (click here for a list of his publications). Selected submissions from previous issues are available here.

Fine Lines is a peer-reviewed journal. The submission acceptance or rejection procedure is a two-step process. First, all submissions are screened by the Founding Editor. Second, the submissions accepted by the Founding Editor are reviewed by the selection committee, which is made up of Fine Lines editors (click here for a list of current editorial board members). Three editors must approve of each submission before final acceptance is awarded during this second stage. The evaluation process takes upwards of three to four months. The Founding Editor will send an acceptance or rejection letter regarding the evaluated submissions.

Fine Lines is an English language publication. Write all submissions in MLA format. The accepted submissions must be written according to the most recent edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers. Refer to the Style Links and Guidelines sections for style guide information.

All general correspondence must be sent to the Founding Editor David Martin via email or postal mail to Fine Lines at PO Box 241713, Omaha, NE 68124-5713. All submissions should be sent to the above postal address or to its appropriate email address as follows: fiction (fiction@finelines.org), non-fiction (non-fiction@finelines.org), poetry (poetry@finelines.org), book reviews (bookreviews@finelines.org), art gallery (art.gallery@finelines.org), drama (drama@finelines.org), and other submissions (othersubmissions@finelines.org).
